Yesterday morning began with my class going to Katlyn's room to make ghosts. I had a doctor's appointment so Lynn and Chelsea combined our classes for this activity. I arrived back just in time to be terrified by the scary, flying ghosts the children created from cloth and styrofoam balls. I hope you weren't too scared when they flew out of book bags yesterday.
We continued painting spiders yesterday and today. Most were dry by this morning and received their legs, fangs and eyes. again, keep in mind this are not real. Try to keep your screams to a minimum. These will come home tomorrow.
We have begun doing yoga on Mondays and Thursdays. We were quite involved with our poses when I looked up today to find a camera pointed towards my derriere. Fortunately the photographer waited for me to change poses before snapping the picture. I'm sure the school wouldn't want that position to represent our school! But seriously, for a group that has just begun learning about yoga, they are looking good enough for pictures. Lynn will substitute for me tomorrow and is looking forward to the fun.
Tomorrow is the Halloween parade and celebration. The children have decorated bags to hold their goodies so they won't need one from home. They will need to bring their costumes which they will put on after fruit break. The upper elementary classes have planned the activities so it will be a surprise for all.
Don't forget Saturday is a drop off day for yard sale items. Gene and Michi will be on hand from 9:00-1:00 to help you unload your goodies.
