Yesterday was so busy I didn't even get to the computer to blog. So sorry!

My class counted and glued 100 jellybeans to a 100 mat. We had enough leftover jellybeans to make mats for Tulie and Kim's classes too.

Next we counted more pennies and found we had collected $5 in pennies. I told them how many of the silver coins were needed to make a dollar and they preceded to count their money in increments of dollars. They were very surprised to find they had collect $18 with change leftover. They just knew they could collect hundreds of dollars before Greg Mortensen comes in April but I convinced them to lower their expectations a bit. They finally settled on $27 as a goal which I believe they will easily reach. more money came in today so they may have to soon set a higher goal.

Today we began painting toes to make a 100 Toes page.

I also gave the class a letter recognition page to check for visual discrimination. They had a letter with a line of letters following. the letters all looked similar but they had to circle the matching letters.
