While it was a chilly walk, the Jack Tales Players were worth venturing out! The children were wide-eyed and completely engaged the entire time. The players alternated stories with music and my class was clapping in time and dancing in their seats. When I later asked the children their favorite part, they all gave the same answer: "I can't decide!". And to make a great show even more wonderful, we got to walk over and sit with our buddies.

After our fabulous morning, I introduced the letter H. My letter box contained a ballerina hippo, a red heart, a harmonica, a hat, Humpty Dumpty and a horse. The children quickly realized the latter was H and were able to add head, hair, happy and several other words. I reminded them that Hanukkah also was an H word.

We spent some time after lunch on another art project. This time I painted their hands with white paint. These will be angel wings later.

Our class has been diligent about bringing in money for the Angel Tree recipients. Tomorrow is the last day to collect. The Senior Citizen gifts are due in Thursday so POP will need to shop tomorrow afternoon.

We also have a great collection of gloves, mittens and hats. Thank you so much for helping needy children stay warm!
