Whew, we got a lot done today! The class worked hard on making maize by gluing confetti popcorn to tag board cut outs. Next they found the letters in their names from a pile of wooden letters and had to glue them in order.

We began a book called "Thanksgiving I see..". They have to color the pictures and will be able to read most of the book by the time they're done. It uses the same phrase, "I see...", repeatedly and has a different object on each page. The word Cornucopia was a challenge to say so I told them it was a big adult word.

We are continuing to work on our Thanksgiving Art Show projects. They are having a great time letting their fingers "dance" on their bags. Somehow I don't usually think or art and giggling going together but in this room giggles accompany many things!

Elena has asked us to send and explain a lunch invitation coming home today. We are having a Spanish Festival on Tuesday, Dec. 1 with 12 different countries being represented. Lunch is being delivered from El Rodeo but orders must be made in advance. Parents and siblings are invited to view the displays and eat. Please fill out the form coming home and return it by Wednesday, Nov. 25.

POP has announced a campus wide contest. Beginning tomorrow they are asking all classrooms to collect lids from water, milk and general plastic drink bottles. On Dec. 2 they will collect and count the lids. The class with the most lids will win a Cookie, Candy Cane and Hot Chocolate party. For some reason our class thinks this would be a great contest to win so parents here is your warning: start collecting to help our enthusiastic collectors.
