It was so good to see my little friends again after the long weekend. We did a quick morning circle so we could move to our last L activity.
Today we cut paws for lion heads I had pre-cut and glued them to paper bags. They have a page of L word items to cut tomorrow and store in their lion bags.
Next was fruit break and play. Tuesday is our super special Enrichment day with all three Enrichment teachers.
After lunch I had a surprise for our class. I had a new Babar book called "Babar the King". The book is too long for one reading so I read to the very idealistic lifestyle of the elephants living in Celesteville. I left them with a teaser that tomorrow we would read about some very tramatic events that occur in the happy village.
Tomorrow your child will bring home a ziplock bag marked "compost". The Early Learners have their own compost container and we will start adding goodies tomorrow that we've collected in the room. We realize many people do not compost at home and that our children's leftovers are meager so if you would like to participate, just put your leftovers in the bag and we will empty it here. The bag will return home (rinsed out) for new treasures. Please do not put in any meat or meat fats and we are avoiding dairy to help keep flies away.
Here is a reminder: All Fall Festival money ($10) is due immediately to your child's teacher.
