Wasn't the snow beautiful? The children went out to play at fruit break anticipating throwing slushy snowball when they were surprised by a sudden shower of slurry. I walked out to experience the pellets of snow when I noticed the children were delighting in these bouncing, snowy balls of fun. Folks, these are some of life's best moments!
In case you haven't heard (which I can't imagine!) today is Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday. This class certainly was ready for the big day and could hardly wait for the parade. At recess time they met me down by the Middle School to don their regalia. As soon as all three classes were ready we began with music, noise makers and throwing beads and doubloons. We made two circles to catch all the Middle School students who were just as excited as the younger children. Karen took pictures for us which will soon be on the blog. What a great start to our week!
