Did you know we only have six more days until our 100th day of school? I didn't know anything could be more exciting than Valentine's Day until the 100th day coincided with it. It seems cards and candy can take a back seat when you have been building up to the big day for 94 days. When discussing the parties, the children weren't the least bothered about celebrating Valentine's Day early (Monday, the 13th) as long as the 100th was ON the 100th! Their priorities have been set.
We have now explored eight letters and yoga positions to go with them. Most letters have more than one position to correspond. Today's yoga session used all our letter positions and lasted a full 30 minutes (including other positions to get us loose). I can't wait for a few more letters so the children have enough positions so they can pick which ones to use in their workouts.
Tomorrow is a special day for the Early Learners. We have our class play beginning at 10:30 in the Drama room. Each of the three classes will do their own short play and the entire show will last 30-45 minutes. You are invited to come watch the amazing performance children this age can render. I will record the show for those who cannot come to watch and have Karen make each family a DVD.
