We had just an exciting day around here! The children were divided into six groups for six different activities. They stamped with gourds, made Jack-O-Lantern faces, stuffed two scarecrows, ate donuts suspended from string without their hands, went on a scavenger hunt and potted mums to decorate our school. Their scavenger hunt treasures will come home today but their art will come home later.

At lunch time we all gathered in Sharon's room for the children to eat and dip cut apples in various toppings. Ethan's dad, Jason played the guitar and sang with children. The sped up version of the "Itsy, Bitsy Spider" was a big hit! I'm not sure what was the cutest scene; dancing children or the little girls looking so lovingly at Jason as he played.

Although the weather has made things challenging (and even sent a soggy upper elementary group back to the campus to camp), we are a school that works with Mother Nature. Our field trip is still on for tomorrow unless the weather changes drastically. Weather.com is predicting very light - if any - showers tonight and then rain holding off until tomorrow afternoon. If we must change our plans I will use this blog to communicate with you.

We are using parent drivers tomorrow so I need the following children to leave car seats tomorrow: Evalyn, Sylvana, Kris and Lithik.

Please remember our half day children are invited to stay until 1:00. Please keep in mind the weather will be cool and damp so our little friends will need a rain jacket and boots.
