All of our CS students did a wonderful job with their plays Thursday. My students sitting with me were so cute to watch as they realized their older friends were the characters on the stage. Their eyes got so big and they giggled with delight. The most amazing part to me was that they took it for granted their friends would sing and dance. They were just thrilled to see them.
Friday's wet fun was exactly that - wet and fun. We invited siblings to join us so Pax and Rylan were here too. Many thanks to Kim and Lisa for their help with all the children and setting up the different areas. I really didn't invite siblings so their parents would help but since that's how it worked out....
Since Today was our "Specials" day I hardly saw the class in the morning. I had just enough time to tell them about all of the events occurring this week. We have something happening each day for the rest of this week and most of next week.
Tomorrow is our tie dye day. We are preparing for Friday's Wings 'N Things fun by dying tee shirts to make a flying creature outfit. Don't be surprised if you hear a lot of chatter about butterflies, fairies and dragons. We will cover the children with smocks but we are still asking that children wear old clothes to prevent accidentally ruining favorite outfits.
It's hard to believe but I managed to keep This tidbit of information secret since early last fall. Thursday we will ride over to the Taubman Museum to watch the stage version of "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". This is a popular book with many children so you can imagine how they reacted! We will leave the campus at 9:00 and return at 11:00.
