Oh no, another rainy day! It could have have put a real damper on our day but we tried very hard to maintain a cheerful outlook.

This morning we made a collage of pictures starting with the letter M. A gluing project is just too boring for this group so we turned it into a guessing game. I gave them clues and they had to find the correct object in their bag. It is funny to watch them identify the objects when they are using comparisons from our room. They were sure the mop was a broom because it didn't look like my spiffy, modern mop and they couldn't identify the matchbook at all.

I pulled out my 2 foot tree and we began the task of decorating. They love this, especially when the ornaments are unbreakable. I even bought some new ones that look like fancy glass but are really plastic.

Don't forget to write down the number of books you read to your child. So far Team Peyton has 6 books and Team Eli has 4.

We had one set of hat and mittens arrive today. That's great! They will be greatly appreciated by a cold, needy child.

They had Music with Kim today and practiced the songs they will sing Saturday at Barnes & Noble. She must have told them to keep it secret because they refused to tell me their names. I finally convinced them it would be fine to sing the songs for me. Here's your warning: don't even bother asking because they know how to keep a secret!

Our buddies came in today. Since it was M week the children wanted to make muffins. I found blueberries to add and together the two classes mixed and poured. The muffins couldn't actually be baked until rest time because Elena was using the oven for LAM. Waiting sometimes make it all the sweeter.

Please write yourselves a reminder to be at Barnes & Noble a little before 11:00 so you can find us at the stage area. If you cannot make it please let me know so I won't be looking for your child.
