Wow, what a day!   We managed to add even more S words to our list and now have a record breaking 90 words.  Naturally the children decided that 100 words was their new goal so don't be surprised if tonight's topic of conversation is S words.

We talked about solids and liquids today.  We are using the current low temperatures to make a little magic.  We set red colored water outside to see if we (or Mother Nature) can turn a liquid into solid.  We should know by tomorrow!

We made "Tacky the Penguin" birds with our buddies today - complete with a Hawaiian shirt.  the children started with squares and ovals and had to cut all the body and shirt parts.  They are wonderfully...tacky!   We celebrated their work by reading "Tacky in Trouble".  Ask your child how Tacky's shirt is featured in this adventure.

Scholastic book orders are due by 9:00 this evening.
