Nothing is harder than staying inside on such a beautiful day. Especially after a long, cold winter. Thinking only of the children's needs, we had an early fruit break and headed out. When the bell rang we meandered back in to finish up several projects. Most of the children will bring home their "Green" book today. It is a circle book, which they had to cut and the results were surprisingly good. I also pulled several fun pages for those who were ready for a cutting challenge. Don't be surprised if you walk in our door and see a snake hanging from the ceiling.

The desire to be outdoors continued so we took book buddies outside. A few didn't like the sun in their eyes, one almost fell asleep, but most loved it. I know Lena and I did.

Also coming home today is a permission slip to apply sunscreen on your child. This must accompany a bottle of sunscreen with your child's name on it (state law). Feel free to wait until you think it's time to apply sunscreen before returning the form and bottle.

Tomorrow morning will be a bit different. Instead of heading up for music after morning play, the children will come to me. At 9:00 we will go to the Drama room to watch a puppet show the Middle School has written. They also have made their own puppets and stage. Knowing how creative our Middle School students are, I can't wait for this show!

Tomorrow is Baking Day. If you can spare some time, please go online and sign up for a slot. Even coming for part of a shift can make the difference in finishing the job. I have had one dedicated parent tell me she plans to return in the evening to help in a second shift.
